3 meals a day or 6 small meals a day to lose weight?

I have found evidence on line that both work. So what do you suggest. I understand it matters how many calories I take in and exercise. I lost over 60 lbs. in 4 months following the eating 6 meals a day but lately I'm having trouble feeling satisfied from the small meals which makes me lean towards the 3 meals. Any help would be great!
