Can someone help me with my hydrangea bush problems?

I have a big 5-year old hydrangea bush. Every year it bloomed, and last year there were over fifty blooms. This year, no blooms, not even a bud. Further, the new leaves at the top are now coming in curled/wrinkled like a shallow cup. I read that it might be caused by aphids, therefore, I sprayed the soap & water mixture. I also found that it might need more water, which I did. But nothing has helped so far. This is my favorite plant and I don't want to lose it. Please help!
