I would suggest going to the web site of the Hedgehog Breeders Alliance (HBA) and reading their Code of Ethics. Then look for an HBA breeder near you on the web site. Kelly Williams is listed both in Slidell, LA and Lumberton, Mississippi (about 50 miles north of Slidell) but I think she moved to Lumberton. At any rate, it is far better to obtain a hedgehog from an HBA breeder given the fact that they breed only registered hedgehogs with clear blood lines thus raising the chance that the hedgehog will generally be more healthy and not die at a young age from fatal hereditary illnesses.
